Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RipStack, operated by PF DATASTACK LLC. By using RipStack, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The Service

RipStack is a Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) card scanner that uses AI vision to identify cards and retrieve live pricing data from third-party sources including TCGPlayer and Cardmarket. RipStack is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Wizards of the Coast, TCGPlayer, or Cardmarket.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use RipStack. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly provide services to children under 13.

3. Your Account

RipStack uses a passwordless login system — you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. You are responsible for:

• Keeping access to your email account secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Free Tier and Pro Subscription

RipStack offers a free tier with a limited number of scans per month and a paid Pro subscription with unlimited scans and additional features.

• Free tier: Limited to the number of scans specified at sign-up. Limits may change with notice.
• Pro subscription: Billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds for unused time.
• Refunds: Refund requests within 7 days of initial purchase may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact [email protected].
• Billing questions: For all subscription and payment inquiries email [email protected]. Billing cycles begin on the date of your initial Pro purchase and renew monthly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to RipStack beyond normal app use
• Use RipStack to process images unrelated to TCG cards at scale
• Attempt to bypass scan limits, rate limits, or authentication
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable law

RipStack uses Claude AI vision to identify cards. Identification may be incorrect, especially for:

• Heavily damaged, faded, or altered cards
• Counterfeit or proxy cards
• Blurry or poorly lit photos
• Rare promotional or regional variants

Always verify important identifications independently before making financial decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

RipStack and its original content, design, and code are the property of PF DATASTACK LLC. Pokémon and all related names, characters, and indicia are trademarks of Nintendo / Creatures Inc. / GAME FREAK inc. RipStack is an independent fan tool and claims no ownership of any Pokémon IP.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of RipStack is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Disclaimers

RipStack is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that pricing data will be accurate or up to date. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PF DATASTACK LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PF DATASTACK LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of RipStack, including but not limited to financial losses arising from card pricing decisions.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to RipStack at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed within 7 days.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date below. For material changes, we'll notify users by email. Continued use of RipStack after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New Jersey.
